Colonial Office, June 17, 1912

I have the honour to ask for instructions in the following matter.

A few days ago a box containing an honorific scroll was sent to that office by two other New Territory elders. It arrived in their office on the 13th.

I have known both these men since 1905 when I first went to the Territory & except when on leave I have been there ever since. /ai Ram Jai is one of the most substantial elders in the Territory. He is head man of Wo Sha Tung Town group villages in the San Tin District.
